What: The Soaring ’20s Cardinal Auction!

Don’t delay! This week only, early bird tickets are $65/person. On Monday, they go up to $75/person and they’ll be $85/person at the door. *You* get a party and the money goes to the PTA, supporting Cardinal students and teachers for school supplies,classroom grants, teacher appreciation, PTA events and more!

Donations Needed

Bottles needed for the “Spirit Wheel”
We also need Wine and Spirits for our “Spirit Wheel”, if you are looking for another opportunity to donate. We need 100 bottles of wine, beer, and spirits valued at $20+ donated for the Cardinal Auction Spirit Wheel — the more bottles, the more fun and successful the game. Please donate a bottle or more! Deposit in the collection bin on Shukla Gorcys family porch at 5240 11th St N, or contact Shakti (917) 952-6661 to arrange pick up of multiple bottles. Cristina Yacobucci’s house is another drop-off location for Madison Manor/Dominion Hills at 921 N. Madison St.

 

Other Donations Needed
To make the night a smashing success, we need the help of our wonderful community. Please consider supporting the event in one of the following ways:

We still need donations from you to support the Cardinal Auction on April 14th. Please submit your good/service/experience by March 17th. We need your help to meet our goal and make the auction a success.

Would you consider donating an experience, service or good for this event? Think creatively about what you could offer, and/or how you can use your skills or your network to contribute. Some of the donations we’ve received thus far include: a pancake breakfast; public speaking coaching session; flag football party; three night stay at a Shenandoah vacation home; DC United tickets; make your own margarita basket, architectural design services; custom pet portrait; and two nights at the Homestead.

Some other ideas may include:

    • a backyard BBQ at your home
    • 2 hours of IT expertise for home computing questions
    • splash park playdate that includes donuts and coffee
    • gift certificate at a spa for a massage or manicure
    • a themed basket of goodies for adults, kids and/or families 
    • tickets to a UVA basketball game
    • babysitting for a parent’s night out
    • a poker night
    • cake or cookie decorating class
    • a cool piece of art

If you want to contribute to the auction and help the PTA, but can’t think of anything specific to donate – you can Venmo money to the Smith family @George-Smith-45 (last four digits of phone number are 9244). Our committee will use the money toward the purchase of fun themed baskets, entertainment/sporting tickets, or other items/services that we know will sell well during the auction and raise money for the school.
